Ruslan Sarkisyan, Managing Partner at Begin Capital, says, “Convious has built a must-have tech solution for the industry with a mission to enrich the experience for venue managers as well as for visitors. We see Convious as a clear market leader globally and are proud to support the Convious team on its way to transforming the industry.”

London-based Begin Capital, founded in 2019, invests in Seed and Series A companies worldwide with a specific focus on Europe.

AI-driven ecommerce platform for the experience economy

Convious provides a one-stop cloud platform for all core operations of leisure operators. It enables them to connect with their customers directly thereby enhancing their experience and increasing conversions while managing all operations at a single place. It processes all sales transactions, including tickets, food, and even hotel accommodations.

The company claims that its Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based platform provides personalised offers to customers leading to better conversions. It sells tickets at dynamic real-time prices and smoothens the buying experience.

The platform also provides data on the guest experience which the leisure provider can use to improve services.

Camiel Kraan, CEO and founder of Convious, says, “Despite the large size, the experience economy lagged far behind in transitioning to modern, cloud-based platforms. We often hear from the operators that legacy systems are keeping them back and busy, while they need an industry-specific product — with Convious, we strive to satisfy their needs, delivering the best experience possible and bringing them into the age of digitisation.”

Operators can use the platform independently or connect it to their existing systems for a seamless experience.

Convious says its platform is used by over 125 companies from 16 countries including Snowworld, Plopsa Group and Looping Group. Convious claims to have increased their conversion ratio by 86 per cent on average, and revenue by 201 per cent in 2021.

Fund utilisation

With the leisure industry bearing the brunt of the Covid-19 pandemic, Convious claims it intends to help its customers attract and convert more visitors.

The company claims it will use the raised capital to accelerate its global expansion. Convious plans to open offices in the US, France, the UK, Germany and other countries.

Convious also aims to hire more talent and increase its current headcount of 65 people to 125 by next year.
