Copenhagen-based Simply.TV, a TV metadata provider, announced on Monday that it has acquired Dutch EPG and metadata specialist GVIDI, marking its first acquisition. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
As a part of the acquisition, Simply.TV will add about 25 customers served by GVIDI via its Basic EPG, GVIDI EPG, GVIDI Movie, and GVIDI Discovery products.
Simply.TV has been working with several leading manufacturers to transition from old-fashioned and traditional UIs to advanced functionality that enables retention and increased consumption across all TV platforms.
