Delhi NCR-based startup fundraising SaaS platform, Marquee Equity has raised $3.8 Mn from a clutch of global investors including Capital One, SignalFire, Arrowroot Capital, TTV Capital, Costanoa VC and Raptor Group, HWVP among others for its undisclosed clients within two months of the campaign.
Founded in 2016, Marquee Equity was founded by Nikita Garg Narain and Mallika Joshi, along with Vrinda Choraria. As a SaaS fundraising platform, Marquee offers startups a SaaS platform to connect to venture capitalists and angel investors for funding, networking and other opportunities.
Currently, the company claims to have a network of over 3200 investors, globally, where it has successfully created 900+ fundraises across the world. Some of the investors include Sequoia, Founders Fund, SoftBank and others.
Besides fundraising, the company also claimed that it helps its clients find acquirers for their businesses through its merger and acquisition service. Marquee believes that it helps companies raise capital in an efficient manner, where its team of analysts help businesses with expert opinions and aid them in exit investment as well.
Other Startup Fundraising Platforms
Marquee Equity today competes with other SaaS-based fundraising platforms like AngelList’s EquityList, LetsVenture, Growfix among other solutions.
Last month, Growfix raised $2 Mn in a seed funding round led by Zerodha’s fintech investment fund Rainmatter and Better Capital. The startup claimed that it offers high net-worth individuals and retail investors, asset-backed fixed income products which offer higher returns than fixed deposits.
Last year, LetsVenture launched a new product called LetsVenture Plus for ultra high net-worth individuals (HNI) and family offices to invest in growth-stage startups. Also, the platform is said to allow these investors to become limited partners in global funds. The invite-only platform has about 500 investors on board and has already launched multiple deals, including an exclusive allocation in a global venture capital fund.
Some of its offerings include angel investors and industry experts platform LetsGrow, angel investor platform Angel AIF, family office and growth stage companies platform LV Titan and a full stack ESOP management platform MyStartupEquity. In April 2020, LetsVenture raised INR 2.4 Cr in debentures from angel investors like Neotia Group’s Parthiv Vikarm Neotia, Chand Trust’s Ashootosh Chand, Prickly Cacti LLP’s Ganesh Raju, Ravi Ramani, and more.
