BeenThereDoneThat, a London-based creative consulting startup, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $6.5M (approx €5.6M) in a Series A round of funding led by VC firm Beringea with participation from individual investors.
BeenThereDoneThat will use this funding to invest in talent, infrastructure and technology to fuel its platform’s growth.

BeenThereDoneThat was co-founded by David Alberts and Ed Rogers in 2015 inspired by Raphael’s ‘The School of Athens’ that depicts the greatest thinkers of the classical Greek era.
“It’s a touchstone for what we do, how we do it, and why. We’ve been working this way since 2014, but our model is not exactly new, it was first invented in 1509,” mentions the co-founders.
BeenThereDoneThat connects companies with c-suite-level creative and strategy officers to help them tackle marketing and advertising challenges.

The company works with a range of clients from multinationals to start-ups, and on assignments ranging from a sustainability strategy, creative, brand strategy, innovation, consulting, business capabilities, and training.
At present, the company’s clients include Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 firms across various categories, including CPG, automotive, consultancies, and more.
According to a report from BusinessInsider, the company claims it grew revenue by 55 per cent to $9.5M (approx €8.3M) in 2021. The US Ad Council’s “It’s Up To You” campaign to tackle COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy was developed together with the startup.
Based out of Michigan, Beringea is a transatlantic venture capital investor that currently manages $700M (approx €612M) in funds and more than 60 portfolio companies across the U.K., Europe and North America.
