Self-care is a phrase that has been thrown around a lot lately, but sadly it is not truly used by many of us in a serious way. Focusing on your own self worth and care is such an important part of life, and now and again we should all take a step back and care for ourselves.

Social media can be a great way to connect with people and stay up to date with the latest news however too much time spent on social media is never good and it can impact your health both mentally and physically. Ensure you get away from the screens for a day or two and you’ll soon see a huge change in your happiness and mood. This social detox can be exactly what you need and it can really put things into perspective for you.

Try Some Yoga

If you want to try something new this week, yoga is a great option for you. Yoga is not only good for your muscles and your posture but it is also good for your mental state. By practicing some yoga this week you can focus on your own body and clear your mind for a while. This can be a great way to release stress and will make you feel happier and healthier every single day.

Wake Up Early

An early start to the day can actually be the best medicine for you if you are struggling with your own self worth and care. By waking up earlier, you get to start the day more slowly and relax into the day, improving your mood as well as your energy levels. Make Time for Your Hobby

Many adults get into a routine where they wake up, go to work, go home, cook, watch tv, sleep, and repeat. This is not a healthy way to live and it often puts us in a rut that is difficult to climb out of. It is important to remember that work is not the only important part of life, and you also need to be able to make time for your hobbies. Take an hour out of your week to enjoy a bike ride, painting, playing the piano, or baking. Whatever it is that makes you happy, do it.
