Augustin Prot, CEO of Weglot, says, “We are thrilled to welcome our new investor on board and excited to build on the growth we’ve built up over the last 6 years. Partech is an excellent partner to help us accelerate our expansion and allow us to scale the business. This significant milestone will allow us to become the category leader for web translation.”

Weglot: What you need to know

Founded by Augustin Prot and Remy Berda in 2016, Weglot is a no-code website translation software that allows anyone to launch a multilingual website instantly.

It translates and displays the content of a website, removing the need to manage multiple websites for multiple markets. The company’s API integrates into websites within minutes through a plugin or a script.

Weglot’s solution helps companies translate more than just the words on the website, including images, metadata and content coming from outside of a website (e.g. a review app).

To date, the French company has helped more than 60,000 B2B and B2C brands translate and display their websites in multiple languages, including Microsoft, Spotify, Steve Madden, and Volcom.
