‘s parent Meta Platforms on Wednesday launched Meta Verified subscription businesses on Instagram and Facebook in India.
The verified business plan offers businesses a verified badge, enhanced account support, impersonation protection, and additional features to support discovery and connection, Meta said in a statement.
It had launched the business plan last year with an initial test to understand the scope of offerings under its Businesses toolkit. Earlier this year, the company also expanded the initial test from one subscription to four. Meta also followed this up by launching Meta Verified for businesses on WhatsApp last month.
“Business owners have told Meta that they value the ability to get verified because it helps provide credibility and gives customers more confidence to engage with them. In fact, the verified badge continues to be one of the top reported reasons for subscribing to Meta Verified,” Meta’s statement added.
It currently offers four subscription plans which are available for purchase only via iOS or Android.
Enterprises have an option to either purchase Meta Verified for Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp, or do a bundled purchase for just Facebook and Instagram.
