Older toilets consume approximately 5 gallons of water every flush, compared to 2 gallons for contemporary high-efficiency toilets. 

Using a low flow can make sure that even if you run the tap for a little too long, you won’t be using even close to the usual amount. 

Collect Water

Consider getting water tanks fitted so that you can begin to collect and use your own rainwater. Collecting and using your own water means that you are contributing to an already stressed delivery system and will have a significant reduction in the energy your business uses. 

Collected rainwater has many uses, and it is worth considering if this is the right fit for your business.

We are often told to purchase energy-efficient appliances and electrical goods for our homes and our businesses. You can take this further and opt for equipment that is water0efficient too. 

Depending on the industry you are in, it might be possible to switch out high-water usages equipment for a low-water alternative. 

While they might have a higher initial cost, most often, the savings can be substantial in the long run. 

Water Audit

One of the biggest things you can do to change how much water your business is using is to have a water audit. A water audit will look at all of the areas that you are currently using water and how best to reduce the usage,

Something that can be of incredible value is to make sure that your staff all know that they are part of making a huge difference in the company. Recycling, sustainability, and being eco-friendly is a big deal.
