iBanFirst: What you need to know

Founded by Pierre Antoine Dusoulier in 2013, iBanFirst is a Belgium-based fintech platform that facilitates B2B payments across numerous currencies.

As an alternative to traditional banking offerings, the company offers a payment experience and a range of financial services that meet the needs of SMEs.

“We are convinced that we can replace traditional banks in supporting companies with international payments,” says Dusoulier.

Through the iBanFirst platform, companies can manage all aspects of foreign currency transactions – exchange, transfer, hedging and cash management.

“It should become a natural reflex for customers to handle international payments via iBanFirst instead of their traditional bank. That is not only cheaper, transactions can also be completed faster and we offer more transparency. The fact that we are convinced that we can become the reference gives us the drive to continue to innovate,” adds Dusoulier.

So far, the company has raised €46M from Xavier Niel and European venture capitalists such as Serena, Breega Capital, Elaia, and Bpifrance Large Venture.

iBanFirst is a French company headquartered in Belgium with operations in France, the Netherlands, and Germany. It is regulated as a payment institution passported throughout the European Union and serves more than 4000 customers all over Europe.

Member of the SWIFT network and SEPA homologated, iBanFirst holds AISP and PISP accreditations under PSD2.
